Joining Forever Living

I am writing this post still from my lockdown for Coronavirus here in the UK. I am seeing a resurgence of interest in the products from Forever Living from those who would rather order online than go to the shops, although this week in the UK shops have started to open. I’ve also had inquiries from people who are interested in another source of income in this uncertain times, so I thought it was about time I blogged again about joining forever living as a lot has changed since I last talked about this.

Joining for the Products

If like many people you are interested in joining Forever Living because you love the products and you want to get them for yourself at a discount then the Preferred Customer level may be right for you.

From 1st July you can join as a Preferred Customer by purchasing products online of at least £75 plus postage at £6.98. Your 2nd order will have free of charge delivery on your 2nd order as a thank you for joining. After the first order there is no minimum order for a preferred customer.

The online links to join will be available from 1st July 2020 at www.foreverliving.com and you will need to add my sponsor ID of 440100686316 which should display as Alison Mead.

If you then place orders over 2 months which add up to a value of 2 case credits (Forever’s internal currency used for progressing through the business) then you will be given the option to become a Forever Business Owner and start your own Forever Business. If you need more details about this then use the Contact Me option at the top of the page and get in touch for a chat. If you choose not to start a business you can continue to buy the products for your self at an increased 30% discount.

Joining for the Business

If you would like to start your own Forever Living business then the best way to join is with a Start Your Journey Pack. This is a pack of the most popular Forever products and literature to help you get started at a discount of 35% and gets you straight onto our marketing plan at the Assistant Supervisor. You will get your own online shop and be able to sign up your own preferred customers.

The pack in the UK will cost you £199.75 (free postage) and the as the contents do change from time to time it’s best to take a look at the current sign up page for the up to date list. If you choose to join you will need you will need to add my sponsor ID of 440100686316 which should display as Alison Mead. Please make sure you read and agree to all the terms and conditions before signing up. If you are not from the UK then change the country option to your area on the form to see the costs in your country or get in touch.

Once you join at this level you will have a minimum order value of £50 worth of products for each order, but your customers will be able to use your personalised web shop with no minimum order quantity. Preferred Customer Programme

Forever Living are changing away from the current Novus Customer offering to a new Preferred Customer Programme.  Novus Customer was something that those who love the products and wanted to get them a little cheaper often joined, or it could be the first step to starting your own Forever business.

But to help business owners make the most of the opportunities of the business plan they are changing the system,  We don’t advocate discounting the prices of products as it devalues them for all, but we do like to reward customers for their loyalty and this new preferred customer programme will do just that.  Also, the first minimum order quantity to qualify for the discount is being reduced.

So in the future to become a preferred customer the discount is being reduced to 5% (from the Novus Customer 15% discount) and the minimum order is going down to £75.

If you are already a Forever Business Owner and your current Novus customers are going to stop ordering due to the reduced discount level, then you can always buy and supply the products yourself and still offer them the 15% discount to keep their continuity – whilst bringing new people on board at the new levels.

Looking after customers properly is a time-consuming but rewarding thing, and we as Forever Business Owners deserve to get the 25% commission we will not get for our Preferred Customer orders, after all this is our business and we need to work to offer excellent customer service and keep up to date with all the products, so this is a really positive move for us.

Signing Up Preferred Customers

It used to be a bit of a pain signing up Novus Customers – they had to fill out an application form and it had to be submitted with their £100 order, so Forever has improved the sign-up process which can be done entirely online, with as I said the minimum order reducing to £75.

If you are in Ireland this change is not coming into effect straight away so there the Novus Customer is still available until further notice.

Start Your Journey Pack

In the past when you joined Forever Living we would fondly talk about the BOB.  Not just because Bob Parker is country manager here in the UK, but also because the box you bought to get started on your Forever Living journey was called the Business Owner Box.

Why Buy the Box?

Joining Forever Living in India

Forever Living is a truly international business, and once you join in your home country you can then build a retail business or a team in any of the over 150 countries where Forever have been given the approval to operate.  This means that if you have friends or family in another country, you can introduce them to your new business and support them in building their own business in their home country.

Every company has slightly different rules in how they operate, so in this post I’ll tell you about joining Forever in India.  There are particular India specific rules and regulations which are different to most other countries which you need to be aware of.

Signing up as a Forever Living Distributor in India

There are 2 options available.  If you are joining with a distributor who is based in India or visiting, then you can fill out a Business Owner Application Form at any one of the many Forever Living offices in India.  This form needs to be signed by both the recruiting business owner and the new applicant.  The applicant also needs to have a Self-attested Proof and a copy of the PAN card and to place a minimum order of INR 1000/- (including taxes) to become a new active business owner.

The 2nd option which I use as a sponsor who cannot personally visit an Indian office is to direct the applicant to www.foreverliving.com and click on Join at the top right-hand side of the page. You must have the 12 digit sponsor ID ready at this point for the form.  If you want me, Alison Mead, to be your sponsor then you can use the ID 440100686316.  This form can then be printed and signed just by the application (the sponsor does not need to sign) and sent to your local office with the same support information listed above (the Self-attested Proof and a copy of the PAN card).   In this case, the initial order is not required when you send in your application, but it needs to be made before you become an active distributor.

Make sure if you are joining in India using either method you fully read all the terms and conditions on the joining forms before signing up.

Sponsoring in India

There are strict foreign exchange rules applicable in India.  Bonuses generated in India can only be paid into Indian bank accounts, and you need to adhere to Reserved Bank of India (RBI) rules to remit monies abroad.  In effect, this means if you are based outside of India and build a team in India you cannot have any bonuses paid to you in another country without registering as a company in India first.  But you can still benefit from the case credits your team in India earn for your promotions within the business.

If you plan to build a large team in India then the head office there will send you full information on how to best follow the process to benefit from your bonuses generated in the country.

Why do YOU want to join Forever Living?

People have many reasons for joining Forever Living products.  Some see the income opportunities and want to build a big business, others want a little extra each month and just want to do a bit of retail, some just want an occupation or a business they can call their own as they are stuck at home and are lonely, and others just want to get the products for themselves at a discount.

What are your goals?

And do you know what?  Whatever your reason is. That’s ok!   The majority of revenue earned by Forever Living products is from those business owners who just place a small order every now and then, as it all adds up and makes Forever Living a successful business.

Now I joined Forever Living in June 2012 mainly because I had tried the products and benefited from them, and I am VERY careful with my money.  I wanted to get the products at a discount, and my good friend Frances had just joined the business, so I bought my business owner box and joined Frances’ team, but planned to just be buying products for myself. I was definitely not interested in building a Forever Living business when I first joined.

However I’m a chatterbox, I love to talk, and I’ll talk to anybody, those who have met me will have noticed, and I also like to share with others too.  Whether that’s a book I have enjoyed reading, a film that has captured my imagination, a networking meeting I love or a product I’ve used.  I just like to share, so I actually found that without really wanting to be a ‘sales person’ I was building up a retail business which brought in extra money each month and also covered the cost of the products I wanted for myself and my family.  It was a win-win situation, instead of my products being cheaper, they are actually in effect free!

I have also actually enjoyed building a team too, and coaching and helping others who have joined Forever Living to build their own business. Something I never expected to take to.  The only thing I do find frustrating is when people won’t be honest with you about why they want to join the business.  I know everyone is different and what has worked for me might not necessarily work for you too, so tell me what YOU want to get from Forever Living, not what you think I want you to say.

So if you are looking to join Forever Living just to get the products a bit cheaper, then just let me know, and I can help you with that, but I won’t try and coach and mentor you if you don’t want to build a business yourself.  Just tell me honestly what your reason for joining Forever is and I’ll leave you alone if that is what you want.  Forever Living business owners have sometimes come over as pushy and unable to take no for an answer, but with better company training I’m finding this to be less and less the case with us now.

Of course if like me you join for that reason but then change your mind, that’s ok too.  We have so many fabulous resources and pieces of training available that when you change your mind we are ready to help you build that bigger business.  Just tell us again that you are ready to make a change.

Joining Forever Living Online

Once you have joined Forever Living yourself, you can benefit from being able to introduce others to the business anytime and from many places using the online application forms.  Not all countries allow online applications, but in many, including the UK, USA, South Africa and Ireland, you can join just by filling out a simple online form.  If you have not joined Forever Living yet then keep reading – the links you need are below.

This handy function allows you to sign up new team members quickly and easily, taking advantage of their positive momentum to get started with their own business.  Joining Forever Living online is quick and easy and allows you to get your business moving and growing at your own convenience.  In some countries, you place your first order for products on this form, and in others, you sign up first then place your first order separately. Joining Forever Living in the UK

If you are in the UK we have handy online sponsorship forms accessed from the http://www.foreverknowledge.info website which allows you to join either through ordering the Business Owner Box or by purchasing the C9 (Clean 9 cleansing pack), which is the least expensive way to join Forever Living.

Forever Living in Scotland

Forever Living have announced a great incentive for Forever Living business owners in Scotland to help them to grow their teams.  These incentives are only applicable if you live in area 180 yourself.  (That’s Forever speak for Scotland!)

Where to meet new people in Network Marketing

Following on from my previous post about building your Who Do You Know List in network marketing, many people are put off starting a new business as they feel they don’t know enough people who could become customers or team members.  After you have approached everyone in your immediate circle of friends and family then where do you go from there?

What you need to remember is there are literally thousands of people our there who have never heard of network marketing at all, let alone your particular business, and what you need to work on is strategies to open a conversation with these people in order to make a connection with them.

Where to Meet People

It is no good joining a network marketing business if you want to stay in all the time and be by yourself, burying your head in a good book or playing online games.  You need to get out and be social.  Is there a hobby you fancy having a go at that you have never tried?  Could you volunteer locally ? Are there social organisations locally you have never visited?  All these are excellent ways to get our and meet people.

You also will come across people in your daily life who you just pass the time of day with.  Your bus driver who always looks miserable, the checkout operator at your local supermarket, the server when you go out for a meal or receptionists and staff at your hairdresser, doctor or dentist.

You can meet people all around you.

How to open a conversation

It doesn’t need to be a hard sell once you have gone out and found more people to meet . I am not suggesting you go along to a new group or class and immediately try plugging products and business opportunities to the people there, as you will soon get people’s backs up and become very unpopular.  To be successful in network marketing first you need to make connections and just get to know people with no mention of your home based business at all.

Sometimes a simple complement to someone you see in your day to day life can open a conversation and create a link with them which can naturally lead to more.  In the health and wellness industries, like with my business in Forever Living, a simple “How Are You?” then listening to the reply carefully can open doors for you to talk about your products.  The secret is always to be open and ask questions and listen to the answers before rushing to tell people all about yourself.  If you are a product of your products the rest will come in time.

Listen first, talk later!

With those you pass in day to day life you need to be a bit more forward as you may not meet that person again.  Have some business cards or similar available with your details on to pass to people with a simple comment such as “you’ve given me really great service today and you are just the sort of person I’m looking for to join my business, can I take your details and give you a call about it at a more convenient time?”. Take their number or email address if they will give it to you and pass them a card with your details.  You never know if this might be just the right time for the person you are talking to.

Where will this get you?

Don’t even think about the promotion and the money you want to make from your business, just think about meeting people, talking to people, and giving your customers and anyone interested really good service and the rest will come with time.

Is the Forever Living marketplace saturated?

If you are a Facebook addict, or you do a lot of small business networking, you might be forgiven for thinking that the Forever Living market is saturated.  You might know several people who have approached you about the products or the business opportunity at various times in your life.

One thing which puts people off joining is they think the market is saturated and there is no room for them to join the party.

But with Forever Living we sell consumable products which people will return to buy again and again.  Many products are used daily, such as the drinking gels, and if you join the business and look after your customers they will keep coming back for more as the products are so fantastic.  There is also a huge untapped marketplace for our products in the health, weight management and beauty sectors.

Take a look at your local High Street

How many shops sell bottled water?

How many hair salons are there selling the same hair care products?

How many chemists are there all selling the same high street brands of make up and a myriad of other products?

And all these products are available online too, so you don’t even need to leave the comfort of your house to buy them, and yet there are enough customers to keep all these sales channels open.

And look at how many gyms and exercise classes there are springing up all the time as people are spending more and more leisure time and money working on their own fitness and well being.

The things is there is a HUGE market for our products, and there are not enough active distributors to fill this need.  For example in Wales there are less than 400 active distributors and a population of 3.1 million (est). That’s one hell of a gap in the market which you could help fill.

So if you think there is no one to sell to then look again.  There are literally thousands of people living their lives day to day that have never met a Forever Living distributor or have never heard of our products.  They are your untapped market, so join us now and help fill the void.
